FAITH OVER FEAR: YOU GET TO CHOOSE

Yes!! We are all aware of the Coronavirus, but I do not wish to give it too much attention today in this post. I am by no means telling you not to prepare! BE PREPARED, but the difference in the times between now and other diseases like SARS back in 2003, is social media and propaganda. The difference is that now we have access to so much information so quickly that it's beginning to scare people. The concern I have is for God's people that do not know the power and authority that laying on the inside of you through CHRIST JESUS! The bible is the best source of advice, God already let us in on the times that we are in. We know that; we got it covered, but he also told us to fear not and not to be terrified. What I see on social media is people who are scared and terrified. Either we will believe God or we won't, which is I think what he means by the fervent church. I think what is going to separate the two churches will be our faith; what we choose to stand on. Either we will choose to stand on God's word or we don't. What came to my mind was spiritual warfare, I believe that believers are engaged in spiritual warfare right now when we see the chaos around us. I know people want us to believe that all spiritual warfare is just speaking in tongues, laying hands on people and casting out demons; but spiritual warfare also takes place in your mind. It's choosing to stand on God's word and refusing to be moved and refusing to move from where you stand spiritually. We are called to not back down when it comes to what the Lord has said in his word. Also, which is so important, and I hope you hear me well!!! Speak the word of the Lord over your life, children, and your home because God is clear when he said he gave us dominion and power over the things in this world. He says that his word will not return unto him void. Think about it like this... he said in this word that, in the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God and he can't deny himself. To further this statement God says that he is not a man that he should lie, now if we go back to Genesis when he said let us make man in our image he was talking about the abilities, the power, the very essence of him is all up and through his creation. If God created the heavens and the Earth by speaking, what makes you think you do not have the power to do that as well when he said that you were created in his image? Honestly, in this time, we will probably have to refrain from social media unless it's for business because when I see social media it seems to be fear-based; fear and faith just don't mix. You can not have both. God said he has not given you a spirit of fear but of POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND, and that perfect LOVE cast out all fear. Now is not the time to have your faith shaken!

I HOPE EVERYONE WAS ENCOURAGED, EVEN IF IT JUST REACHES ONE!

Why Kanye might be the "new thing" that Christians love to quote

You have all heard it. It’s a famous scripture in the Bible, people say it all the time in church. We can't forget about the song and dance that was made from a young man in the 90’s. God is doing a "New Thing" Isaiah 43:19 (Video Below.)

The question becomes, "When he (God) starts doing this new thing, will you recognize and embrace it, or will you shun it because it doesn't look like God?"

As I was waiting in line to get my stale $19.00 popcorn and old junior mints, I saw loads of souls from all walks of life that all had one thing in common; they were about to have an experience with the Word of God. As I’m getting my popcorn, the show starts and I hear the wailing, moaning, and groaning of some guy rolling on the ground in a blue suit.

Of course, all I could think about was, "This is demonic and Kanye has lost his mind" but after a while, when I got out of my own head, and I decided to truly take in the experience; I realized what he was doing. I was stunned! I was like ”Oh, okay, this is the story of Nebuchadnezzar in the Bible as an opera ! ”

As I sat there, Kanye read one of my favorite stories in the bible and I looked out and around at the 17,500 people that were there to watch the show; I was open to the deeper meaning of it all....and then I got it, and it’s very simple ! JESUS ! Jesus At the Center. Jesus is the end all be all !!! I commend Kanye for his very very public “YES”. As far as him SEEMING as though he is somewhat of a narcissist, hey, that's neither here nor there. We all have flaws and we go to Jesus because we are imperfect people. The parrell to that same concept is how people put pastors, apostles and prophets on a pedestal and they can not breathe without getting judged, when in reality they are just people who fall short like we do with ministry gifts.

Side Note: Realizing that people are people who have flaws like everyone else, I believe makes it easier to forgive and will probably eliminate some of the situations where people get church hurt.

The point of writing something like this is that as long as Kanye continues to point people to Jesus, he isn't doing any harm. What he is doing is more good than bad. It's awesome what God is doing in his life.

I think my dope take away was this...God keeps reinventing himself. He has came in the form of many different things all to win our affections and trust. He wraps himself in many different forms to appeal to ALL people and he's done it for each generation.

ATTN: LADIES, STOP DOING THIS IN 2019...CHASING MEN!!!!

Ladies, can we STOP doing this in 2019, please. You ladies know what I'm talking about. You lose sleep over it, cry tears, rock yourselves to sleep at night, have dreams about it, it makes you bitter and angry with men and love, and it can be quite damaging. You know what I'm talking about, "CHASING A MAN." It's a horrible feeling to feel like you are so close, yet so far. STOP IT!! That **ish hurts and ends up doing way more damage than the initial rejection in the first place. I know we have all done it once in our lifetime whether it was in elementary school, or well up into our adult years. God forbid, you give up that magical triangle that sits in between your legs. Let's be real Y'all, (if I can be candid) I'm going to tell you how my mother told me "LOVE IS IN THE NUT!" Sounds crazy, I know, but now you've really fallen hard because you've personally made an investment on him.

It's a horrible feeling to chase after someone who genuinely doesn't want you and SHOWS you exactly how he feels about you. We need to dump this mentality of less than because you are worth so much more than a late night phone call or dinner here and there. You are a goddess, a queen, and a phenomenal woman who has literally everything to offer and you deserve the love that you are trying to give to someone else a hundred times over. It is not your job to chase anyone, you can scratch up your knees (I'm joking), but seriously that's not your job. You'll know when you've had enough. Only you can decide to stop, and get up and shake the dust off your feet. If that young man wants to be with you trust me, he will, and he will fight for you and SHOW you exactly how he FEELS about you. It hurts my heart to think I was going to for less than what I thought I deserved.

Do you know that when a man marries a woman he gets a blessing released over his life just because you're there? You're genuinely precious to God, and he cares about you being taken care of. The flip side of that is he wins because YOU are there! I think that is enough to hold our head high in confidence knowing the value that you add to his life. Which brings me to another point, that I at one point adopted the ideology along with a lot of other women, we shouldn't let what a man can do for us have dominance over genuine love, affection, adoration, and appreciation for the value that you add to his life.

Now, I'm not saying date below what you feel as though you deserve, but rather be open minded to real love. We shouldn't abandon real love because it wasn't presented to us the way we thought it would be presented to us in our head. Say, for example, you want a man with millions, that's all fine and dandy, but what if God was waiting for you to get with him to give him millions. What if God's intention was for them to grow and stack together? He that finds a wife finds a good thing. Metaphorically speaking, what if you were attached to his blessing? No one is saying, FIND STRUGGLE LOVE. Struggling together is not the goal, but it does happen. Just don't pass up on real love because he wasn't what you thought.
